Trip Overview

Experience the history and excitement of four northeast cities on this 8-day journey. Start off in Boston, where you will get to explore the historical streets that line the famous Freedom Trail. From there head to the “Big Apple” to enjoy the bright lights and the top attractions of New York City. Then journey down to Philadelphia where you will get to see where the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the creation of the Constitution of the United States took place. From there you will cap off your patriotic journey in America's Nation's Capital of Washington, DC. A true historical experience awaits you!

DAY 1 YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN BOSTON
Welcome to Boston! Today you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel and begin to experience the city on your own! (Overnight in Boston)

DAY 2 BOSTON
Enjoy a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour of this historic city. See national historic landmarks such as the Old North Church and the site of the Boston Massacre. Stroll the beautiful Public Gardens or walk in the footsteps of history along the Freedom Trail. Boston is a fantastic city for exploring. (Overnight in Boston)

DAY 3 BOSTON > NEW YORK CITY
This morning, board Amtrak's Northeast Regional route to journey on to New York City! Upon arrival you will be able to travel around the city on a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour. Your fully guided tour will bring you to such important New York attractions as the Empire State Building, Central Park, and of course a jaunt across the Brooklyn Bridge. (Overnight in New York City)

DAY 4 NEW YORK CITY
Continue your adventure around New York City onboard your hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour. Your tour will guide you to more New York attractions such as Bryant Park and the New York Public Library, Rockefeller Center, and 5th Avenue. (Overnight in New York City)

DAY 5 NEW YORK CITY > PHILADELPHIA
Today travel to Penn Station and board Amtrak to continue on to Philadelphia. Upon arriving in the “City of Brotherly Love” you will board a hop-on, hop-off tour that will bring you to such historical sites as the Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, Eastern State Penitentiary, and the Liberty Bell! (Overnight in Philadelphia)

DAY 6 PHILADELPHIA > WASHINGTON, DC
This morning board Amtrak to journey on to America's Capital, Washington, DC! When in Washington, you can use a hop-on, hop-off tour to visit all of the sites. The tour stops off at all of the major attractions such as the White House, the Capitol Building, and all of the major memorials! (Overnight in Washington, DC)

DAY 7 WASHINGTON, DC
Continue to explore Washington today. Your tour will guide you to all of the major Smithsonian Museums that are all free of charge! Other popular activities include walking around the National Mall between the Capital Building and the Lincoln Memorial. (Overnight in Washington, DC)
