Ride the rails from Los Angeles to the Grand Canyon and take the famous Grand Canyon Railway train into the South Rim of the Canyon. Experience the Grand Canyon on a sightseeing tour that will take you all around the national park. Enjoy the iconic and historic Route 66 town of Williams, Arizona and experience a true American Southwest vacation.

DAY 1 DEPART LOS ANGELES
Goodbye Los Angeles! Transfer on your own to the Los Angeles train station and board Amtrak to Williams. Relax and enjoy your trip to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Carving through canyon passages only a few feet wider than the train itself, you'll see spectacular landscapes and pristine vistas not visible from interstate highways on the Southwest Chief. (Overnight on board the train)

DAY 2 WILLIAMS
Welcome to Williams! Check-in to your hotel, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and then take the day to explore this fun Route 66 Town! From the 50's style diners to the old-timey gas stations to the statue of Elvis, this town has all of the style and substance that one would expect to see along Route 66. After experiencing all that Williams has to offer, relax by the hotel pool and prepare for your next day's trip into the Grand Canyon! (Overnight in Williams) B

DAY 3 WILLIAMS > GRAND CANYON
Wake up and have breakfast before your trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Following breakfast, enjoy the wild west show before boarding the famous Grand Canyon Railway. The train will wind its way into the Canyon, capturing many picturesque views that are special to the railway. Upon arrival into the South Rim you will board a sightseeing tour to experience some of the best scenic landscapes that makes the Grand Canyon so magical and exciting. (Overnight in the Grand Canyon) B

DAY 4 WILLIAMS > LOS ANGELES
Today have a free morning to yourself before boarding the Grand Canyon Railway to head back out of the Canyon. Upon arriving back into Williams, you will have dinner before your Amtrak trip back to Los Angeles. After dinner board the Southwest Chief for your trip home and reflect upon your wonderful family adventure at the Grand Canyon.

Grand Canyon Railway

Grand Canyon Railway Hotel is nestled amongst the Ponderosa pine forest in Williams, Arizona - "Gateway to the Grand Canyon." Owned and operated by Grand Canyon Railway, this hotel is one of the finest in the Grand Canyon -Flagstaff - Williams area.

Maswik Lodge

Maswik Lodge is a modern facility spread over several acres of ponderosa pine forest, located just 1/4 mile from the Canyon's edge. Maswik Lodge features a cafeteria that is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Here you will also find a sports bar with a wide screen TV, a curio shop stocked with handicrafts and gifts, and a transportation/activities desk.
