Trip Overview

This 13-day journey is tailor-made for music lovers! Begin in Memphis where you will tour the city’s top music sites; visit the Statues of the Two Kings, the Memphis Pyramid, and the quintessential Beale Street. Then head out for a tour of the iconic Graceland, home of Elvis Presley! Next head over to Nashville where you will get a true “Music City” experience. Tour the city with stops at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Honky Tonk Row, and enjoy a classic performance at the Grand Ole Opry! After Nashville, you will head back to Memphis and on to New Orleans, famously known as the “Big Easy.” There you will enjoy admissions to such New Orleans attractions as Mardi World, the National World War II Museum, and a sightseeing tour. A true music city experience awaits you!

DAY 1 YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN CHICAGO
Welcome to Chicago! This city has so much to see and do, so use your included hop-on, hop-off to begin exploring. The pass not only provides an excellent narrated journey throughout the city, but it gives you the freedom to hop-off at any number of exciting stops to experience them further at your own pace. Afterwards, hop back on the tour to continue. (Overnight in Chicago)

DAY 2 CHICAGO
Today you delve into the storied history of Chicago during the age of prohibition and the golden age of jazz on your crime tour of Chicago. Your guide will recount tales of gangsters and entertainers, speak-easies and jazz clubs during the Roaring Twenties and beyond. The tales and legends are a fascinating glimpse into the past. Later this evening, enjoy dinner at a popular, local restaurant. (Overnight in Chicago) D

DAY 3 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
This morning is yours to complete your exploration of the “Windy City.” Head over to the attractions at Navy Pier, visit one of the city's storied museums, or do some shopping on the Magnificent Mile. Chicago is full of things to see and do. Later, head over to Union Station and board your train, the world-famous City of New Orleans, for your journey south to Memphis and beyond! DAY 4 MEMPHIS
This morning you arrive to the “Blues City.” After checking in to your hotel, enjoy a day of sightseeing on your own. Perhaps you want to head down to Beale Street and check out the popular blues clubs to get into the music spirit. (Overnight in Memphis)

DAY 5 MEMPHIS
Your exploration of Memphis continues on a sightseeing tour of the city. Your fully-guided tour will take you to visit some of Memphis's top attractions such as Victorian Village, a neighborhood with many beautiful homes built in the 1800's, the famous Peabody Memphis Hotel, and the towering Memphis Pyramid. After your tour of the city, you will be transported out to Graceland where you will enjoy a tour of Elvis' mansion. (Overnight in Memphis)

DAY 6 MEMPHIS TO NASHVILLE
Today you will pick up your rental car for a quick drive out to Nashville. Upon arrival, begin exploring. This evening you are free to enjoy the city on your own. (Overnight in Nashville)

DAY 7 NASHVILLE
Today you will experience “Music City” on a comprehensive tour of Nashville. Your guided tour will bring you to such important Nashville spots as Honky Tonk Row, the Parthenon (a replica of the famous structure in Athens, Greece), and a tour of the classic Ryman Auditorium. You will also get to experience the Country Music Hall of Fame, an unforgettable journey through country music's history and its most legendary artists, writers, and performers. DAY 8 NASHVILLE
Enjoy another day exploring the city, or relax back at your hotel. Tonight, you will head over to the Grand Ole Opry for a live show and radio broadcast. With historic performances dating back to 1925, taking in a show at the Grand Old Opry is the perfect way to complete your Nashville experience. (Overnight in Nashville)

DAY 9 NASHVILLE TO MEMPHIS
Take the morning for a final experience of Nashville. Perhaps enjoy a hearty southern breakfast before heading off to Memphis to continue your journey on down to New Orleans. Upon arriving into the city, drop off your rental car and check-in to the hotel for a relaxing evening in preparation of your trip. (Overnight in Memphis)

DAY 10 MEMPHIS TO NEW ORLEANS
This morning board Amtrak's famous City of New Orleans route for your journey south to the “Big Easy!” Marvel as you travel through lush forests and marshland as the train skirts the shores of the incredible Lake Pontchartrain. As you arrive into the city, check-in to your hotel and settle in for the night. (Overnight in New Orleans)

DAY 11 NEW ORLEANS
Today you will get to explore the “Big Easy” with your multi-day attraction pass. Use the pass to gain admission to such top attractions as Mardi Gras World, where you will get to see the floats and characters from the Mardi Gras parades as well as the artists working to create them, the Louisiana State Museum known as the Cabildo, and the patriotic National World War II Museum. (Overnight in New Orleans)

DAY 12 NEW ORLEANS
Today you will continue to see that best of what New Orleans has to offer on a guided walking tour of the city. Your knowledgeable guide will escort you around the city, delighting you with fun facts, stories, and tales of the exciting “Crescent City.” Following the tour, you will be able to continue using your multi-day attraction to gain admission to such exciting spots as the Crescent City Cooks for a cooking demonstration, or to see the exhibits at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
