DAY 2 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
After transferring trains in Chicago, board Amtrak's famous Southwest Chief to continue on towards the Grand Canyon.

DAY 3 WILLIAMS
Welcome to Williams, Arizona! Upon your arrival, check-in to your hotel and prepare for your exploration of this beautiful desert landscape rich in fun activities for you to explore! Williams, Arizona is a charming town nestled at the base of Bill Williams Mountain in one of the largest Ponderosa Pine Forests in the world. In a setting like this, it's no wonder Williams is considered an outdoor paradise. (Overnight in Williams)

DAY 4 GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
This morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Grand Depot Café, the perfect starting place for your Grand Canyon adventure! Then, board the Grand Canyon Railway, which will take you right into the heart of Grand Canyon National Park. Enjoy a motorcoach tour of the Canyon's majestic South Rim and your included lunch. Take in some of the most spectacular vistas in North America, which were formed over 17 million years ago. The Canyon's landscape is truly breathtaking. (Overnight in the Grand Canyon) B, L

DAY 5 WILLIAMS
Today, be sure to take in the fresh canyon air. Spend the first part of the day at your leisure exploring all of the Grand Canyon's astounding sights before boarding the Grand Canyon Railway for your return trip back to Williams in the afternoon. This evening, enjoy your included dinner at the Grand Depot Café. (Overnight in Williams) D

DAY 6 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
This morning board Amtrak for your return trip back to Washington, DC. Make sure you keep your eye out for any of the beautiful sights you may have missed on the journey back! (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 7 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
After transferring trains in Chicago, settle in for your ride back to Washington. As the train winds its way east, reflect upon the wonderful experience you had at the Grand Canyon! (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

El Tovar

El Tovar Hotel, the premier lodging facility at the Grand Canyon, opened its doors in 1905 and was most recently renovated in 2005. In the past, the Hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Western author Zane Grey, and many others. Today, El Tovar retains its elegant charm. Located on the Canyon rim, it features a fine dining room (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), lounge and curio shop with newsstand.

Grand Canyon Railway

Grand Canyon Railway Hotel is nestled amongst the Ponderosa pine forest in Williams, Arizona - "Gateway to the Grand Canyon." Owned and operated by Grand Canyon Railway, this hotel is one of the finest in the Grand Canyon -Flagstaff - Williams area.

Maswik Lodge

Maswik Lodge is a modern facility spread over several acres of ponderosa pine forest, located just 1/4 mile from the Canyon's edge. Maswik Lodge features a cafeteria that is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Here you will also find a sports bar with a wide screen TV, a curio shop stocked with handicrafts and gifts, and a transportation/activities desk.

Thunderbird Lodge

Conveniently located between El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge, Thunderbird is a contemporary lodge located at the South Rim.

Yavapai Lodge

Yavapai Lodge is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges' largest facility and is surrounded by pinyon and juniper woodlands, about 1/2 mile from the rim. With modern rooms and many services within a few steps, this is a convenient choice for families. Yavapai East rooms feature in-room air conditioning and Yavapai West rooms have vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. The Lodge is located next to the Market Plaza, which includes a general store, bank, and U.S. Post Office.
