DAY 1 - YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN LOS ANGELES
Welcome to Los Angeles! Discover best of the ‘City of Angels' with two days in the perpetually sunny city, visiting such iconic LA landmarks as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, Universal Studios and the Hollywood Sign. Or simply bask in the sun and play in the waves at one of the many world-famous beaches that line the coast. (Overnight in Los Angeles)

DAY 2 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
Join Hollywood's top celebrity tour today for a fun and entertaining look at where the stars live, work and play! Travel through LA's most exclusive neighborhoods by comfortable, air-conditioned coach and be sure to have your camera ready because you never know when you may spot a real, live celebrity! Later in the evening, head to Union Station and board Amtrak's Sunset Limited train for your two-night journey southeast to San Antonio. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)  

DAY 3 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
Spend the day relaxing and enjoying the sprawling desert vistas as you glide through Arizona and New Mexico on the train. Enjoy Amtrak's comfortable accommodations and delicious food while appreciating the classic views of the American south. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 4 - SAN ANTONIO
Welcome to the melting pot of cultural influences that is San Antonio! The city's interesting history is on display everywhere, from the Alamo and the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center to the underground world of the Bridge Caverns. Use your admission and pay a visit to the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum, featuring the historic saloon where Teddy Roosevelt recruited the Rough Riders and Pancho Villa is rumored to have planned the Mexican Revolution. The entire family will love The Buckhorn Museum, featuring over 520 species of wildlife from around the world, many of which are record holders. Enjoy delicious food and drinks at the saloon and shop for unique gifts and souvenirs in ‘The Curio Store' giftshop, started way back in 1920 in response to Prohibition. (Overnight in San Antonio)

DAY 5 - SAN ANTONIO
Get ready for an exciting day of San Antonio sightseeing! Today, you will explore the top attractions in San Antonio. Visit the Alamo and learn what makes it so legendary. Take a riverboat ride through the famous River Walk. Visit Mission San Jose. Explore the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum. Spend some time in the fascinating Texas Ranger Museum. There's no telling what you will see and explore as the rich history of Texas comes alive today. (Overnight in San Antonio)

DAY 6 - SAN ANTONIO TO NEW ORLEANS
Depart San Antonio on the train this morning for New Orleans, passing through deserts and bayous before arriving in ‘The Big Easy' this evening. Relax and unwind at your hotel at this halfway point in your journey. (Overnight in New Orleans)

DAY 7 - NEW ORLEANS
Have your camera ready today as you discover the mysteries and the beauty of the Louisiana swamps and bayous on a fascinating boat trip. Cruise by custom built swamp boat and observe the nesting grounds of alligators, egrets, nutria and many species of snake - all from a safe distance! Discover the wonders of this fascinating ecosystem and learn about efforts being made to restore this vital habitat. After the tour, spend the rest of the day discovering NOLA at your leisure. DAY 8 - NEW ORLEANS
Start your second day in New Orleans with a jazz brunch at the famous Court of Two Sisters restaurant. Enjoy delectable Cajun cuisine in the famous courtyard of this award-winning restaurant while listening to live jazz. You can't get more classic New Orleans than this! Enjoy the rest of the day touring the city - absorb the sights and sounds of the world famous French Quarter and historic Jackson Square, explore the historic cemeteries, often referred to as "Cities of the Dead," or marvel at the fascinating tales of voodoo and piracy on Bayou St. John, the waterway used by Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates. DAY 9 - OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
Travel on your own to the train station this morning and board Amtrak's Crescent line bound for Washington, DC. Enjoy the relaxing and scenic overnight journey northeast to our nation's capital. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 10 - WASHINGTON, DC
Roll in to Washington, DC's classic Union Station this morning and check in at your hotel. Later, discover the fascinating history of our nation on a hop-on, hop-off trolley tour though the city. Stops include the Jefferson Memorial, the National Cathedral, and the Smithsonian, which contains 15 separate museums, and the National Zoo. You will also have your choice of admission to some of the best museums in the country. Choose from the popular International Spy Museum or the Newseum. DAY 11 - WASHINGTON, DC TO NEW YORK CITY
Embark on the final train leg of this journey with the quick trip north to New York City! Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and begin exploring the ‘Big Apple.' DAY 12 - NEW YORK CITY
