DAY 1 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
This morning board the Coast Starlight for your trip north towards Crater Lake National Park. Settle in and prepare for a leisurely ride. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 2 CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK
Welcome to Crater Lake National Park! Today, you will arrive to your hotel and check in. Take some time to step out and breathe the clean, mountain air in the spectacular natural landscape around you. (Overnight in Crater Lake National Park)

DAY 3 CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will experience the magnificent sights around Crater Lake! Your sightseeing tour will take you all around the rim of the lake. Formerly an active volcano known as Mt. Mazama, the sight erupted around 5,700 years ago to form the bowl that would become Crater Lake. The park ranger aboard your tour will recount the event, point out impressive natural features, and discuss how the event was remembered and passed down in native folklore for thousands of years afterwards. Keep your camera handy to capture the pristine blue mountain waters and a mountain landscape rich in nature's beauty. (Overnight in Crater Lake National Park)

DAY 4 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK
Take this morning to either relax at the hotel or perhaps enjoy a walk through nature. Then tonight board Amtrak for your journey back to Los Angeles. As the train winds its way south, reflect on the wonderful experiences you had at Crater Lake National Park. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 5 YOUR GETAWAY ENDS IN LOS ANGELES

Crater Lake Lodge

The historic Crater Lake Lodge, the only in-park lodging in Crater Lake National Park, originally opened in 1915. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of the 1920s rustic charm with their grand fireplace in the Great Hall.
