Trip Overview

This winter, experience the gorgeous scenery and breathtaking landscapes of the snow covered Canadian Rockies, and discover the great cities of Vancouver and Seattle! First, discover Banff in the heart of the Rockies and ride the impressive Banff gondola to the top of Sulfur mountain for some of the most amazing views of the winter wonderland that is the Canadian Rockies! Then take an incredibly scenic transfer to Jasper and view winter wildlife in their natural habitat in Jasper National Park. From there, take the scenic overnight journey on VIA Rail to the great city of Vancouver and see amazing views of the city from hundreds of feet above the ground at the Vancouver Lookout. Finally, board Amtrak for another scenic ride down to Seattle for more sightseeing and fun!

DAY 1 CALGARY TO BANFF
Arrive in Calgary today and take the included transfer to Banff and the beginning of your Canadian Rockies adventure! Check in at your hotel for a two-night stay and begin exploring this gorgeous mountain town nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The area is home to alpine glaciers, turquoise lakes and a variety of mountain wildlife. (Overnight in Banff)

DAY 2 BANFF
Today, you'll take a gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for one of the best views of the Canadian Rockies. From there, you can enjoy the snowy mountain vistas of six different mountain ranges, Bow Valley and more! (Overnight in Banff)

DAY 3 BANFF TO JASPER
This morning, depart Banff for a scenic drive on the Icefields Parkway which connects Banff to Jasper, one of the most beautiful towns in the Canadian Rockies. (Overnight in Jasper)

DAY 4 JASPER
Explore the spectacular Jasper National Park, the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, and search for winter wildlife on your guided tour today. Your local guides know all the best places to spot wildlife and you are likely to see elk, deer, goats, moose and more! (Overnight in Jasper).

DAY 5 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD VIA RAIL
Continue to enjoy Jasper on your own this morning before making your way to the train station for an overnight journey to Vancouver on VIA Rail. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the observation car taking in the beautiful winter wonderland scenery as you travel through the Canadian Rockies, and later, settle into your sleeping accommodation for a comfortable night's sleep onboard the train. DAY 6 VANCOUVER
Welcome to Vancouver! This morning, travel on your own to your hotel and then begin exploring this unique city where the serene coast meets the soaring mountains. (Overnight in Vancouver)

DAY 7 VANCOUVER
A full day of sightseeing awaits you today! With an included hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour, you'll learn all about the city and its history with the live commentary. Feel free to hop off the tour and explore any sites in depth at your leisure such as Stanley Park, Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island, and more! (Overnight in Vancouver)

DAY 8 VANCOUVER TO SEATTLE
Make your way on the train station in Vancouver this morning for your scenic journey on Amtrak's Cascades line to Seattle. Upon arrival in Seattle, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay and begin discovering the ‘Emerald City.' Check out the iconic Space Needle for 360-degree views of the entire city, picturesque Elliott Bay and the snow-capped Mt. Rainier in the distance.
