Halifax Activities

Where the Atlantic Ocean meets the cliffs of Chebucto Head at the mouth of Halifax Harbour, wildlife and the sea surround! On a special day (some days they just “don’t come out and play”) our guests have the opportunity to see species of minke whale, fin whale, dolphin, seals, tuna, sunfish, and a variety of seabirds. Many of our staff are enrolled in marine biology studies or are experienced naturalists, providing visitors with interesting information on the history and sights of the Harbour as well as the native wildlife generally seen in the area during this 2 1/2 hour cruise. Our Crew will “pull a lobster trap” and teach you how to handle a lobster, snapping claws and all and explain just how these interesting crustaceans live and thrive.
