The Battle of Franklin is known as “the five bloodiest hours of the Civil War.” On this tour hear the stories, see the bullet and cannon ball holes and walk the blood stained floors that bear witness to the savage nature of this horrific conflict. Visit the Carter House, Lotz Home and Carnton Plantation. Spend time in the quaint town of Franklin to shop, eat and view historic sites on your own.

A visit to the Carter and Lotz Homes, both ground zero for this incredible battle, are included with an opportunity to hear incredible tales of heroism and bravery. Guests can enjoy viewing one of the finest Victorian period furniture collections in the world.

Next, a journey to the Carnton Plantation, which was ordered to be a Confederate Field Hospital after the battle and is now home to the largest private Confederate Cemetery in the United States. You will be taken back in time as you tour this incredible home and hear the tales as told in the New York Times bestseller “Widow of the South”, by Robert Hicks.
