Visit both the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum while in Ottawa.
The Canadian Museum of History has roughly 25,000 square meters (270,000 sq. ft.) of display space, spread over four floors in its Museum Building (formerly the Glacier Wing). The galleries house a mix of permanent and changing exhibits. Also in this wing is an IMAX ® theatre. Some permanent galleries include Canada's First Peoples, the Canada Hall, and the Canadian Personalities Hall.
The Canadian War Museum is an entirely new and must-see attraction, this national museum presents Canada’s military past and how it shaped the country. Its outstanding exhibitions explain Canada’s rich military history from earliest times to the present, featuring the experiences of people on the battlefields and at home.
