DAY 1             YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN CHICAGO

Welcome to Chicago!  With your Chicago CityPASS you can choose from a number of activities.  Why not spend the day with the dolphins at Shedd Aquarium and then visit the astronauts at Adler Planetarium.  Also included–a hop on / hop off trolley tour of Chicago. (Overnight in Chicago)

 

DAY 2             CHICAGO

Continue to see the sights in Chicago with your CityPASS like the Skydeck and the Field Museum. Then enjoy your included dinner at a popular Chicago restaurant. You’ll never want to leave Chicago! (Overnight in Chicago) D

 

DAY 3             CHICAGO TO TORONTO

Transfer on your own and board Amtrak® to Detroit.  Here you will be transferred to VIA® Rail Canada’s Windsor Station where you will board the train to Toronto. Enjoy the views on your day of cross-country travel.  (Overnight in Toronto)

 

DAY 4             TORONTO

Visit Toronto’s own CN Tower.  Take an exhilarating look down as you stand on the tower’s glass floor.  Now that’s a breathtaking view!

DAY 5             NIAGARA FALLS/TORONTO

Don’t forget your poncho as you spend a full day exploring the awe-inspiring views of Niagara Falls. (Overnight in Toronto)

 

DAY 6             TORONTO TO MONTRÉAL

Transfer on your own and board VIA® Rail Canada to Montréal.  Take some time to get settled then head out for your included dinner and enjoy the finest French cuisine. (Overnight in Montréal) D

 

DAY 7             MONTRÉAL

Today you will enjoy a guided walking tour through Old Montréal (seasonal). You’ll take a walk through Place d’Arems and Place Jacques-Cartier.  On this historic tour, you will also see Notre-Dame Basilica with its dramatic Gothic Revival architecture. (Overnight in Montréal)

 

DAY 8             MONTRÉAL TO NEW YORK CITY

Transfer on your own and board Amtrak® to New York City.  You’ll check into your hotel for a night of rest in the city that never sleeps.

DAY 9             NEW YORK CITY

Today, explore New York City with your CityPASS. Visit some popular attractions like the Empire State Building, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Statue of Liberty. Dinner at New York City’s only revolving rooftop restaurant—The View is included. (Overnight in New York City) D

 

DAY 10            YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN NEW YORK CITY

Amtrak trains traveling on long-distance routes typically use either two-level Superliner or one-level Viewliner train car equipment, each of which include bedrooms arranged in various configurations and private and public bathrooms and showers.

Seating Accommodations

The availability of these options varies depending on your route and the kind of train equipment in use.

Coach Class

Coach class seats are available on all Amtrak trains except Acela Express trains.

On most long-distance trains, we provide extra-spacious Coach Class seating with leg rests designed to enhance your comfort for long or overnight trips.
