DAY 1 Arrive in Chicago
Welcome to Chicago, known as the Windy City or the Second City. Meet your tour escort and the rest of the group at the Wine and Cheese Reception. (Overnight at the Palmer House Hilton, Chicago)

DAY 2 Enjoy Chicago
Enjoy a morning tour of Chicago. This afternoon you will have some free time to explore or enjoy some shopping on the Magnificent Mile. Dinner and an evening activity will also be included. (Overnight at the Palmer House Hilton) B,D


DAY 3 Chicago to Memphis
Today you will enjoy unparalleled views of Chicago's world renownened architecture as you are guided on a cruise along the Chicago River. Transfer to Chicago’s Union Station and board the“City of New Orleans” train in sleeper accommodations. Dinner will be included in Chicago before boarding the train. (Overnight on train) B,D

DAY 4 Arrive in Memphis
Your arrival in Memphis will be very early in the morning. Transfer to your hotel and check your luggage with the bell desk. A tour of Graceland, Elvis's home will kick off your stay in Memphis (Overnight at the Peabody Hotel) B, L,D

DAY 5 Explore Memphis
Wake up refreshed and ready to see Memphis. A fun city tour is included for today with musicians onboard and audience participation. Admission to Sun Studios, the Staxx Museum and Rock n' Soul Museum are also included. Dinner tonight will be on famous Beale Street. (Overnight at the Peabody Hotel) B,D

DAY 6 Memphis to New Orleans
Transfer to the Memphis Amtrak Station and board your train in sleeper accommodations. You will travel about 400 miles to New Orleans. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your New Orleans hotel. Tonight you enjoy a dinner cruise aboard the Steamboat Natchez. Welcome to the birthplace of jazz.

DAY 7 Enjoy New Orleans
Today you will start the day at with a jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters, just a short walk away. You'll be serenaded with more jazz music as you dine. Walk down Bourbon Street and take in the atmosphere. Following breakfast you will enjoy a tour of New Orleans and see such sites as the Garden District, French Latin Quarter and even some remnants of Hurricane Katrina to never let us forget this tragic occurrence.

DAY 8 Vacation Ends in New Orleans
Bid farewell to the birthplace of jazz. At this point you will have the following options: 
• Return to Chicago on Amtrak 
• Extend another night in New Orleans 
• Head West to San Antonio, TX B

Coach Class

Coach class seats are available on all Amtrak trains except Acela Express trains.

On most long-distance trains, we provide extra-spacious Coach Class seating with leg rests designed to enhance your comfort for long or overnight trips.
