DAY 1             YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN BOSTON

Welcome to Boston!  This evening you may wish to take in some of the sights of Boston and get into the “Beantown” spirit. (Overnight in Boston)

 

DAY 2             BOSTON

Discover colonial and contemporary Boston at the same time with a trolley tour of this historic city. You’ll see national historic landmarks like the Old North Church and the site of the Boston Massacre.  (Overnight in Boston)

 

DAY 3             BOSTON

You’re invited to help solve a murder mystery.  Be prepared for a hilarious experience and laugh your heart out at the award-winning theatre production of Shear Madness.  (Overnight in Boston)

 

DAY 4             BOSTON TO NEW YORK CITY

Transfer on your own and board Amtrak® to New York City.  Enjoy a 2-day sightseeing tour on a hop-on / hop-off bus and experience firsthand what the excitement of the Big Apple is all about! (Overnight in New York City)

 

DAY 5             NEW YORK CITY

Continue your tour of this great city as you visit Times Square, the Empire State Building and Carnegie Hall. Then head to the top of the world for your included dinner at New York City’s only revolving rooftop restaurant—The View. (Overnight in New York City)  D

Transfer on your own and board Amtrak® to Washington, DC.  Your visit includes admission to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum where you can hang out with the wax likenesses of presidents, politicians, and celebrities. (Overnight in Washington, DC)

 

DAY 8             WASHINGTON, DC

Rediscover our nation’s history with a 2-day sightseeing tour of our nation’s capital aboard a hop-on / hop-off trolley. Visit the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the National Cathedral. (Overnight in Washington, DC)

 

DAY 9             WASHINGTON, DC

Amtrak trains traveling on long-distance routes typically use either two-level Superliner or one-level Viewliner train car equipment, each of which include bedrooms arranged in various configurations and private and public bathrooms and showers.

Seating Accommodations

The availability of these options varies depending on your route and the kind of train equipment in use.

Coach Class

Coach class seats are available on all Amtrak trains except Acela Express trains.

On most long-distance trains, we provide extra-spacious Coach Class seating with leg rests designed to enhance your comfort for long or overnight trips.
