Enjoy a short stay in Chicago before boarding the Southwest Chief® and heading to Arizona and the Grand Canyon.  En route, you will make a stop in Santa Fe, where historic cultures thrive.  Arrive at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and experience life as it was in the Wild West.  Board the Grand Canyon Railway for an unforgettable excursion to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Flagstaff is your final destination, where you will be treated to an all-day tour of Sedona.  At the end of this excursion, return to Chicago or continue on to Phoenix or Los Angeles.

DAY 1             YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS IN CHICAGO

Welcome to Chicago! Take a walk down the Magnificent Mile for world-class shopping, dining and attractions.  (Overnight in Chicago)

 

DAY 2             CHICAGO

Enjoy a hop-on / hop-off city tour of Chicago. Then, after a fun day of sightseeing, enjoy your included dinner at a popular Chicago restaurant.

DAY 3             OVERNIGHT ABOARD AMTRAK®

Transfer on your own and board Amtrak® to Santa Fe. Enjoy dinner on the train in the Dining car before settling into your private Roomette sleeping accommodations. (Overnight on the train) D

 

DAY 4             SANTA FE

Santa Fe is known as a treasure for art, culture, cuisine and its views of serene mountains. Enjoy a free day exploring all that Santa Fe has to offer. (Overnight in Santa Fe)

 

DAY 5             SANTA FE

Today, enjoy a guided walking tour of Santa Fe. Meet your guide and experience the historic sights, artwork and landscape of this culturally rich Southwestern city.  (Overnight in Santa Fe)

 

DAY 6             SANTA FE TO WILLIAMS JUNCTION

Transfer on your own and board Amtrak® to Williams Junction.  Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.  Enjoy a good night’s sleep before awakening for your adventure to the Grand Canyon.  (Overnight in Williams Junction)

 

DAY 7             WILLIAMS JUNCTION TO GRAND CANYON

Enjoy your included breakfast at the Grand Depot Café and be sure not to miss the morning shootout before boarding the Grand Canyon Railway. Enjoy a canyon tour of the South Rim with lunch.  (Overnight in the Canyon) B

 

DAY 8             GRAND CANYON TO FLAGSTAFF

Today, be sure to take in the fresh canyon air.  Spend some of your free time enjoying the sights of the Canyon before departing in the early afternoon for Flagstaff with a roundtrip transfer.  (Overnight in Flagstaff)

 

DAY 9             FLAGSTAFF/SEDONA TOUR

Wake up refreshed and ready to witness the Red Rocks of Sedona with your included jeep tour. Relive early cowboy days with tales of murder and moonshine on this special, scenic tour.  After, you’ll return to Flagstaff with your roundtrip transfer from Sedona. (Overnight in Flagstaff)

 

DAY 10            YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN FLAGSTAFF

Coach Class

Coach class seats are available on all Amtrak trains except Acela Express trains.
