SUGGESTED ITINERARY**

DAY 1 Arrive New York City
Welcome to New York City! This evening you may wish to visit Times Square or view the city from atop the Empire State Building. You may also wish to book tickets to one of the many famous Broadway shows as a start to your vacation.

DAY 2 New York City Exploring
This morning enjoy the sights and sounds of Manhattan on a hop on/hop off tour via double-decker bus. You have the freedom to get on and off at certain attractions, or stay on and enjoy a comprehensive guided tour of the city. You will also be provided with a CityPass which includes admission to several famous New York City attractions, including the American Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art, Empire State Building, the Guggenheim Museum and more.

DAY 3 New York City Exploring
Enjoy more of the city’s attractions, or explore the many shops and boutiques that New York City is famous for. In the evening, enjoy a scrumptious meal at The View Restaurant located atop the Marriot Marquis Hotel.

DAY 4 New York to Boston
This morning travel by Amtrak to the charming city of Boston. The remainder of the day is free for you to experience “Beantown’s” colonial charm and rich history. In the evening you are invited to board the Spirit of Boston for a relaxing dinner cruise, or dine in a famous seafood restaurant.

DAY 5 Boston Exploring
Explore Boston aboard an Old Town Trolley Tour. A CityPass of Boston is also included providing you with access to the Museum of Science, New England Aquarium, Skywalk Observatory, Museum of Fine Arts, Harvard Museum of Natural History and the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum.

DAY 6 Boston to Philadelphia
Early this morning board Amtrak for your journey to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Most famous as the birthplace of American independence and home of the Liberty Bell, Philadelphia offers a wide selection of attractions, culture, entertainment and activities.

DAY 7 Philadelphia Exploring
You have the entire day to discover Philadelphia’s unique attractions. Philadelphia CityPass gives you a variety of included activities to help you explore Philadelphia.

DAY 8 Philadelphia to Washington DC
Departing Philadelphia by Amtrak, you will travel to Washington DC, the capital city of the United States. This evening enjoy dinner at Finemondo.

DAY 9 Washington DC Exploring
Take the day to discover Washington DC’s many highlights on a step-on/step-off Old Town Trolley. A must-visit is the Museum of Crime and Punishment, for an in-depth look at America's criminal past!

DAY 10 Vacation Ends in New York City
Spend the morning sightseeing before you board Amtrak back to New York City. Depart for home from New York City.

Seating Accommodations

The availability of these options varies depending on your route and the kind of train equipment in use.

Coach Class

Coach class seats are available on all Amtrak trains except Acela Express trains.

On most long-distance trains, we provide extra-spacious Coach Class seating with leg rests designed to enhance your comfort for long or overnight trips.
