Pet Policy
Pets are permitted in the hotel at a cost of apporxmiately $25/night. The animal must be on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended in the room. Any damage incurred to the room by the pet is the responsibility of the guest. Guide dogs are always welcome and exempt of charges.

Renovation Alert:

The Fairmont Copley Plaza is undergoing an extensive property renovation. Please read details below.

Phase one of the renovations will begin on November 13th and are scheduled to be complete by Summer of 2012. Rooms renovation are scheduled to be complete by April 7, 2012.

Renovation Phase Overview:

Adding a new state-of-the-art fitness center on the roof of the building which is currently scheduled to open in November 2011
Repointing the brick work on the exterior facade of the building
Enhancements to the 383 guestrooms and Fairmont Gold Lounge, including new carpet, furniture, fixtures and equipment
Function space and elegant lobby will receive some enhancements as well which will include painting
Upgrades to mechanical and electrical infrastructure, as well as heating ventilation & air-conditioning improvements

Machinery and tools that will be in use:

Exterior façade: work will include the use of up to 4 mast climbers secured to the corners of the building, mobile condor lifts will be used to supplement this. Some scaffolding will be used on the Trinity st (hidden) side of the hotel. The workers will use drills and small hand held circular saws.
Health Club: Includes some crane lifts to remove debris and take up equipment. The work itself will include basic equipment used for installation of walls, flooring, glasswork etc. All demolition is complete.
Lobby Restroom: expansion will involve light demolition and installation of new bathroom pieces
Lower Level Meeting Space: work will be done in the months of January and February, the work involves limited equipment as the scope is only carpet, wall coverings and audio visual updates
Guest Room and Corridor Renovation: work will take place form Nov 13 to April 7, 2012. There is no major demolition as the scope is limited to décor etc with no structural changes.

Hours of work, and what days of the week:

Façade work is scheduled from now until November 29, 2011, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Health Club Crane lifts will typically take place on a few Saturday mornings between the hours of 6am and 2pm but have very limited guest impact. Now until November 17, 2011.
The lobby/rest room expansion is slated to take place from January 2 to April 6, 2012 again Mon to Fri 8 to 5
All other work not specified is scheduled to occur between the hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Facilities that will be unavailable as a result of the work:

Lobby Level rest room will be renovated at which time only one gender will be open for use. Other gender will be available in Lower Lobby.
The Fairmont Gold lounge will be closed for renovation from December 7, 2011 - January 4, 2012.

This restoration program will be thoughtfully phased to ensure that the hotel operation is not interrupted.
The Fairmont Copley Plaza will remain open throughout the renovation. Parts of the hotel will be closed off to guests. There may be minor construction noise but the hotel will keep guests as far from construction areas as possible. Guest room work will be done vertically (floors 1 - 6) closing off one wing of the hotel at a time (3 wings). The guest room work will not affect the lobby or restaurant and vice versa.
