Sixth Floor Museum Admission

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza chronicles the legacy and assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The Museum is located on both the sixth and seventh floors of a warehouse formerly known as the Texas School Book Depository. The permanent exhibit features films, photographs and artifacts that display President Kennedy's life, death and legacy. Temporary exhibits can be seen on the seventh floor.


  • Hours of Operation:
  • Monday: 12:00PM to 6:00PM
  • Tuesday-Sunday: 10:00AM to 6:00PM
  • Last tickets are sold at 5:15PM

  • Duration: We recommend 90 minutes for your visit.

  • Open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

  • Handicap Accessible: The Museum is accessible to wheelchair users and others with special needs. An accessible entrance is located at the northwest corner of the Museum. Wheelchairs are located in the Visitors Center and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. A transcript of the audio guides is available in several languages for hearing-impaired visitors. Videos in the permanent exhibit are captioned in English.
