The Alamo
The Cradle of Texas Liberty, established in 1718 as Mission San Antonio De Valero, the first of five missions built along the San Antonio River, where Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, Colonel Travis and 186 valiant men sacrificed their lives fighting for Texas Independence. It has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. Walk through these hallowed grounds and see where these valiant hero's died.

Mission San Jose
Established in 1720, this is the best example of a restored mission in the United States. The famous "Rose Window" and carved stone facade at the entrance are examples of the fine detail and craftsmanship of artisans who built the mission.

Mission Concepcion
Visit Mission Concepcion and experience the strength of the Friars who Christianized the Indians. View the original frescos still visible within the rooms of the mission. This is the oldest stone church in our nation.

El Mercado
Selling colorful Mexican imports from South of the Border. Visit the many Mexican food restaurants and shop for bargains in one of the 35 shops.
